I was born at 313 Wandsworth Bridge Road and we had a dairy shop which was pulled down in 1963 to make way for three blocks of flats. We lived next door to the sweet shop and oppositeĀ the Wandsworth Tavern. My father worked for Middlesex County Council and my mother worked in the shop. We also had a dairy shop in Harlesden which was owned by my grandparents who came up from Wales during the depression of the 1930s like so many Welsh families. My parents met at the London Welsh Club and went to chapel in Fulham. We moved from Fulham to Wiltshire when our dairy shop was pulled down in 1963.
