I lived in the Sands End Lane turning before Harwood Terrace with my mum and dad George and Ellen (Nell) Lucas and my four sisters Rose, Lucy, Ellen and June and two stepbrothers. Our mum used to help with the street parties which was great fun. 

Our neighbours were the Morrisons (two daughters Jean and Chrissie) and also the Freemans. Chrissie Morrison was a great friend and I have been trying to find her again on "Friends Reunited."

I remember Hudson's sweet shop and two pubs on the corner of Sands End Lane- The Rose and The Imperial. I went to Harwood Road School and Hurlingham.

I married my sister Lucy's brother-in law Ted Brown. They lived in Hamble Street. We got married in Stevenage Hertfordshire and later moved to Swaffham Norfolk. I am now widowed. My sister June lives nearby in Holme Hale and my late sister Lucy also moved to Norfolk (Necton).
