My dad Don Lucas was born in Chelsea at the World's End. He met my mum Mary Goodman at a night school in Fulham (Langford Road). There were five of us children - me (Roy), Alice, Mabel, Nellie and Phillis. Most my mum's family lived in Cranbury Road. I have lived in quite a few properties in Cranbury. I was born in number 6 on the 9th of July 1947. It was my Nan's house. When I was five (1952) my family moved to Castletown Road West kensington. We then moved back to Cranbury when I was 12 or 13 in 1959-60 (No 30) and and back into number 6 again. I lived there till I got married in 1970 at the age of 23. My mum and dad had bought number 6 and stayed till 1978 then they sold up. Other families in Cranbury Road were the Toovies, Howards, Christmas, Breans, Higgs and Rooneys. I moved over the river to Wandsworth in 1972 My Customs Harley Lucas Chopper motorbike. I used to make bits for Leon Wallace of 121 Putney Bridge Road. *The Goodmans Alice Goodman married Sam Washington. They lived in 28. Two kids Peter and Irene. Nellie Goodman married Les Wiggens. They lived in 58. One kid Joan. My mum Mary Goodman married Don Lucas and lived in Castletown Rd West Ken and then moved to 30 Cranbury when Mabel and Carol moved to Settrington Road about 1951/52. One kid Roy Lucas. Mabel Goodman married Carol Burt. They lived in 30 they then bought a house in Settrington Road. One kid Karen. Phyllis Goodman married Norman Jack. They went to live in Hurlingham Road. Three kids David, Stephen and Jack. Fred Goodman married Julie (surname not known) and went to live in Harbored Street. One kid Hazel. The mum and dad moved to a ground floor flat in Sullivan Court. When the dad died the family got the mum moved back to Cranbury Road to No 42 till she had a stroke and then moved in with Nellie and Les as their kid had married and moved to Essex.
