We used to go over South Park with our sandwiches and bottle of Tizer and stay till dark. Some of the caretakers in my day were Mr Daynes (Hugon Road gate), Mr Jones, who had a daughter called Gwynneth (Clancarty Road gate) and Mr Barnett (ice cream parlour).
